Handmade tuna spikes for a fast, clean kill and better-tasting fish. Each one is a 316 stainless steel ike jime brain spike on a Calcutta bamboo handle, wrapped to match our gaffs and deck brushes.

Why spike your tuna?

A quick, accurate spike to the brain stops a fish from thrashing on deck. That means less bruising, less lactic acid build-up and better color, texture and flavor. Choose your size

• 1/4" × 4": yellowtail, bonito, dorado and school-size tuna.
• 5/16" × 4.5": the all-around size for yellowfin and bluefin.
• 3/8" × 5": larger tuna and other big, thick-skulled fish.

Every spike is available with an optional screw-on sheath to protect the point when it's in your bag or on your belt.
