Handmade Calcutta bamboo fishing gaffs built one at a time for inshore and offshore fishing. Each gaff is wrapped in one of our signature colorways and set up the way you fish: choose a length from 3 to 6 ft, a Light/Medium, Medium/Heavy or Heavy action, and a ceramic-coated Mustad, 316 stainless steel or titanium gaff hook.

Why fish a Calcutta bamboo gaff?

• It flexes. The cane bends like a rod and absorbs head shakes, so it's less likely to tear out of a fish.

How to choose your gaff

Length: match it to your freeboard. A 3–4 ft gaff suits kayaks, skiffs and bay boats; 5–6 ft reaches past higher gunwales. Hook gap: 2.50–2.75" for calico bass, halibut, yellowtail and dorado; 3.00–3.25" for tuna, wahoo and white seabass; 4.00" for big tuna, swordfish and marlin. See the full gaff size guide.
