Fishscale Gaff Co. became official in 2022.  The journey here started long before...  My name is Matt and the ocean was my first love.  I grew up in the 90's fishing, diving, spearfishing, and surfing Southern California to the Channel Islands.  I remember the days as a kid where the excitement and anticipation of hopping aboard an open party charter was too much to bear to be able to fall asleep the night before.  I graduated college from Long Beach State University with a business degree and traded in a desk job to get back out to sea.  I respect the sea because for as much as its given to my life, many times over its almost taken.  For too many of you this is all relatable in one form or another.  I put pride into each and every build and strive to accommodate anyone who wants handmade fine craftsmanship that's built tough and ready for war.
